Ingleside Gallery

Ingleside Gallery is a pop-up art gallery founded by award-winning painter Shrey Purohit, with the support of the Ingleside community. Originally located at 1507 Ocean Avenue, SF in an empty storefront space with the assistance of Ocean Incubators, Shrey and local artists brought art into the neighborhood as we emerged from the pandemic. Over its run, the gallery became a hub for both emerging and established artists in San Francisco’s Ingleside neighborhood. Hosting music, poetry, and painting classes, Ingleside Gallery made art a conversation in the community, empowering local artists with support from both residents and city agencies. Known for its community-driven exhibitions, the gallery showcased local talent and bold-themed shows. Although it no longer has a brick-and-mortar space, Ingleside Gallery continues to curate pop-up exhibitions and rotating shows at Ballast Coffee, staying true to its mission of fostering a vibrant and inclusive arts scene. Now, in partnership with Ballast Coffee, Shrey independently curates exhibitions with a focus on sustainability. By keeping gallery commissions low and extending show durations, Ingleside Gallery shines a spotlight on underground and indie artists in the San Francisco Bay Area. We are proud to have showcased numerous local talents through this model.
